Summary: Wonderful, new, clean. Wonderful breakfast and atmosphere. Very comforting when far from home. Large balcony. Very eco friendly, good food, very convenient to ski slope and Sotkamo. Very convenient to athletic facilities. Request a suite for more than 2 people.

Summary: This was our second stay at Hotel Aateli, and we will cerainly come back again. In our opinuon the hotel is very cosy, comfortable, clean and well msintsined. Personnel is service minded, and food in the restaurant Ainoa also very good. We liked the breakfast which inluded in the hotel room rate. We had a standard double room and also booked their small Zen spa for 50 mins. We were basically happy with everything, the only thing was that waiting time between the courses in the dinner was quite long, but we were told about this in advance and as we had no hurry, this was also fine. Location is generally great, in the summer for hiking and in the winter for skiing - paths and slopes nearby. There is quite a lot to do in Vuokatti both in the summer and winter, but if you want to relax, you can do that at Aateli.

Summary: We stayed one night at Hotel Aateli on our way to Northern Finland. The stay was perfect - the room was very comfortable (especially liked the bed and the details of the decor). We also had dinner at Ainoa restaurant, and the food was delicious. Also breakfast was superb and was included in the price. We booked their small spa just for our own private use and this was a true gem; I loved the sauna and the small pool. It was really nice to relax there after and before long drives. We also were given the opportunity to keep the room a bit longer than normally. Parking is at the front of the hotel and you can easily walk to the skiing resort, which is next to the hotel. Only thing that could be possibly improved was the lack of parking space - we came early enough to get the last spot, but the people coming after us had to park outside the parking area. Overall we had a really nice stay, wish we could have stayed longer!
